We commissioned Adam to design and build fitted wardrobes in our master bedroom and two freestanding book cases in our living room. We were absolutely delighted with the end result and everyone that visits our house loves his work. Adam takes great pride in his work, he is professional, clean, tidy, extremely friendly and was flexible when it came to fitting the wardrobes/book cases at our home. 
We would highly recommend Adam to anyone looking for carpentry work and if we decide to have any more work in the future in this property or another we wouldn't consider anyone else but Adam.

I've just had some custom built drawers fitted under the stairs in our Victorian terraced house in Bath. They have transformed our lives - we now have loads of storage space for shoes, boots, tennis rackets, gloves, hats etc. We have a bathroom under the stairs as well so this is really making the most of the space! The quality of Adam's work is exceptional and its clear from the finished product that these drawers will be there for decades to come. Adam is a true craftsman and very proud of doing everything properly.

We wanted a shelving unit for an alcove fitted and while we knew what we wanted, we weren't able to easily articulate it. Adam was very helpful, he guided us through the design process, suggested ideas and took time to understand what we wanted. He drew up the design, built and installed it all. Adam built a large range of fitted wardrobes for us and was extremely helpful and professional throughout. His input at the design stage was really useful and he did a fantastic job of fitting the wardrobes despite the fact that we don't have a straight wall in the house and our ceiling is very bowed, which initially created problems with the doors. The interiors of the wardrobes are very high quality, making them a pleasure to use, and we love the lighting system he recommended. The price was incredibly reasonable too; larger companies quoted us almost twice the amount (in one case, for using IKEA carcasses, rather than building bespoke ones, as Adam did!). We were really lucky to come across Adam Gibbons on the internet and will definitely use it for other jobs.

Professional, calm and passionate craftsman that is who I would describe Adam. The furniture is beautifully finished, well thought-out and detailed. Yes, we do live in Switzerland. You would think that it was complicated to design and specify details over the phone and by e-mail. But given Adams professionalism, calmness and patience it was very easy. After I saw the finished units in my kitchen, I actually came to realise what a nightmare it could have been. All those details and finishing touches I hadn’t thought of were done stunningly. Despite the distance between us, it will not be the last furniture he has done for us.

Adam designed and built a beautiful dark stained built-in wardrobe for us, made from ash. The wardrobe is exquisite, with superb attention to detail, heavy solid doors, clever in built lights and the most wonderful grain. It has transformed the storage in our bedroom. I had a pretty strong view of the design of a built-in set of book shelves/cupboards/desk for our sitting room. Adam drew it up for free and then quoted on the design. He advised me on a number of aspects including the work surface (he suggested a lovely walnut polished work top that would double as a good desk top, lighting, handles, drawer slides etc that all worked out very well). He worked to the quote and time estimate, the quality of the work was spot on and he was also a charming man willing to listen and offer good advice. I don't believe we could have found a better carpenter. Adam's fine wood skills are matched by his good taste and high standards of working: he is professional,prompt, polite and collaborative. He transformed the front door on our new home: the original Victorian one had been pretty much ruined - the wooden panels had been removed and replaced with inappropriate glazing. Adam created new door panels, made from beautiful sapele hardwood and arranged and fitted stylish glazing, both in the door and the transom window above, featuring the house number. I'm sure our house has never looked so good! 
I can't recommend Adam highly enough and definitely intend to call on him again in the future.
